Good inventory management is very important for any coffee roasting operation. With a good inventory management system in place the organization will:
-Know how much coffee they have on hand in lbs, value, and weeks of inventory
-Know when they will run out of a coffee that they're using
-Have tools to accurately project how much coffee they will need in the future 

With roasting software like Cropster, many organizations already have some excellent inventory management tools at their fingertips. Available below is a very basic inventory management spreadsheet for a coffee roasting business. Keeping a spreadsheet like this one updated with weekly production data will make it easy to project coffee use for contracting and moving coffee to the roasting facility from ex-warehouse. Weekly green coffee use data can either be pulled from Cropster or calculated by doing an inventory count at the end of each week.
