The Newsletter 01: Introduction to the efficiency.coffee Newsletter Hello! Thank you for signing up for The Newsletter from efficiency.coffee. In this first edition, I am going to lay out my mission for efficiency.coffee and talk about what you can expect from The Newsletter. efficiency.coffee Mission My name is Jay Kling and efficiency.coffee is my small business. I am a green coffee buyer and Q grader with 9 years of experience in the coffee industry. I have a degree in Supply Chain Management and Entrepreneurship from Syracuse University. My mission with efficiency.coffee is to create a resource hub specifically for green coffee buyers to access tools and information related to green coffee buying. On my website, efficiency.coffee, green coffee buyers will find Excel spreadsheet templates for inventory management, buying plans, and cost of production analysis. My hope is that with greater access to information about strategic purchasing and efficient supply chain management, specialty coffee roasters can generate more profit, pay employees better, and be better able to pay high prices for green coffee – thereby becoming drivers of sustainability in the coffee industry. What to expect from The Newsletter With this newsletter, I hope to build a bank of written resources that supplement the Excel templates that are available on efficiency.coffee. Topics that I will cover in The Newsletter include:
